Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Finance and Administration Assistant to join our team. This is a central role within the organisation, leading on key tasks across finance and administration needs.

The successful candidate will provide accurate and timely administrative activity, supporting the team in delivering an effective and impactful programme of activity.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
  • Process all income and expenditure, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Reconcile bank transactions with bank statements and accounting data.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Support the generation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience in financial record keeping and basic accounting principles. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using accounting software and have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Drive.

Essential Qualifications: GCSEs (A* to C) in English and Maths or NVQ Level II in Business Administration or equivalent experience as an administrator or business support officer.

Desirable Qualifications: AAT qualifications or knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software.

Benefits

This part-time role is funded for 18 months with the possibility of extending beyond, dependent on funding.

The salary is £13.68 per hour, increasing to £14.26 per hour in April 2026.
