Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and punctual Janitorial Professional who has excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods, and practices. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe school environment, ensuring that all areas of the school are tidy and well-maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain classrooms, corridors, offices, and other areas of the school;
  • Operate cleaning equipment including polishers, vacuum cleaners, and pressure cleaners;
  • Dust and clean furniture and fittings, windows, toilets, and other surfaces;
  • Remove rubbish and recyclables from the school grounds;
  • Participate in vacation cleaning duties, which may include stripping and sealing vinyl floors, carpet shampooing, and pressure cleaning undercover areas and verandas.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • Able to read and apply Material Safety Data Sheets, equipment operating instructions, safety instructions, and training guidelines;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to use cleaning equipment, including polishers, vacuum cleaners, and pressure cleaners;
  • Ability to lift and move heavy cleaning equipment and supplies;
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
