About the Role

The Strategic Communications team at WorkSafe Victoria works closely with business units and executive leadership to develop engaging materials that communicate objectives, projects, and achievements.

As a Communications Advisor, you will use your strong writing skills to develop content for WorkSafe staff and external stakeholders. You will provide advice to the Manager, Strategic Communications and work collaboratively with other communications teams, business units, and program teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop communications plans and content in various formats, including digital posts, videos, presentations, and key messages.
  • Work with change partners, program managers, and project teams to develop communications strategies that take into account the needs of the project and the wider organisational context.
  • Provide communications advice to the Manager, Strategic Communications to ensure timely and relevant communications are delivered in line with WorkSafe's strategic objectives and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Strategic Communications team to plan, develop, and implement communications strategies that support change.
About You

You will bring strong writing skills, with the ability to distil complex issues and present them simply to a range of audiences. You will have experience working with a broad remit of stakeholders and be able to demonstrate effective stakeholder engagement. Strong attention to detail and impeccable organisation and time management skills are essential. Experience in change communications is highly desirable, and a tertiary qualification in a relevant field is well-regarded.
