About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Catholic Healthcare's Residential Aged Care facility in Eastern Heights. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met, while also maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of fresh meals for residents, adhering to food safety and handling guidelines
  • Deliver meals to residents in a professional and efficient manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and servery areas
  • Work closely with our Chef to ensure seamless meal service
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an Aged Care environment
  • Knowledge of food preparation and safe food handling practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Awareness of relevant WHS guidelines and HACCP requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in food preparation/commercial cookery (advantageous)
  • NDIS check or willingness to obtain
