Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Warwick Farm & Smithfield, NSW.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to play a key role in driving compliance and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will lead projects that enhance product quality and operational excellence, collaborating with industry leaders to shape the future of packaging.

You will be responsible for managing compliance with ISO 9001, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and other customer-specific requirements, ensuring our sites meet stringent quality and safety standards. Additionally, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure document control, training, and internal/external audit processes are executed efficiently and meet VISY's high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain compliance with quality and food safety standards (ISO 9001, HACCP, FSSC 22000).
  • Lead external and internal audit processes, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of corrective actions.
  • Oversee document control and ensure systems are up to date with current protocols.
  • Conduct product testing and inspections, ensuring compliance with raw material and product specifications.
  • Collaborate with teams to analyse data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement action plans.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in continuous improvement, guiding business enhancement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management, both internal and external.
  • Lead Auditor qualification and hands-on experience with ISO9001, HACCP, and FSSC 22000.
  • Strong system management and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to lead projects.
  • Desirable: FMCG or corrugated board industry experience, and project management skills.
