Job Description

This role involves developing safe and efficient mine designs and schedules for daily to three-month planning horizons.

The successful candidate will prepare and deliver short-term mine plans and schedules that optimize safety, productivity, and cost; collaborate with key stakeholders; contribute to drill & blast plans; support continuous improvement; and build strong working relationships with technical and operational teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Mining or Civil Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in a mining environment.
  • Exposure to or understanding of short-term planning and drill & blast principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive problem solver with a desire to grow technical capabilities and planning expertise.
  • Experience with mine planning software such as SPRY, Deswik, Vulcan, or similar CAD-based platforms.
