In addition to a tertiary qualification in a related field, 3-5 years of experience managing teams in a unionized manufacturing environment is highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote health and safety commitment among workers
  • Lead safety standards and model desired behavior
  • Manage production performance to achieve production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Set manning levels to optimize shift structures and plant efficiency
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in engagement, efficiency, capability, and capacity of the plant
  • Manage workforce planning to ensure appropriate skill development and operator training
  • Negotiate and influence at all levels, engaging the workforce and influencing personnel to achieve positive outcomes
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development to improve the skill level of direct reports and reduce operational costs

**Requirements**: Tertiary qualification in a related field is highly regarded; 3-5 years of experience managing teams in a unionized manufacturing environment is required.
