Job Title: Cloud Engineering Manager

You will lead a high-performing team of engineers, setting the vision for automation, reliability, and scalability in cloud-native environments. Your strategic leadership will align technology operations with business goals, ensuring high availability of services and enabling rapid and secure deployment of applications.

The role involves providing direction and leadership to the cloud engineering team, defining and driving the adoption of cloud practices, tools, and culture across engineering teams. You will act as the principal advisor to senior leadership on cloud strategy, capability development, and risk mitigation, and oversee the design, implementation, and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.

You will drive continuous integration, delivery, and deployment strategies that enhance speed and reliability, implement and monitor robust SRE practices to ensure system performance, reliability, and scalability, and partner closely with Software Development, Security, Infrastructure, and Product teams to align cloud capabilities with business needs.

About This Role

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure roles
  • 3+ years in a technical leadership or management role with proven team-building success
  • Expertise in leading cloud engineering at scale within cloud-native environments
  • Proven track record implementing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
  • In-depth experience with containerisation and orchestration of best practices
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Sound knowledge of monitoring, observability, and incident management frameworks
