Job Description: Therapist in Disability Sector
We offer therapeutic supports in speech pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, dietetics, positive behaviour supports, orthotics and customer footwear, sexuality and relationship education as well as therapy training. Our therapists specialise in the disability sector.
You will work closely with our customers, their families and other health professionals. We provide supports allowing you to develop your clinical skills. The better the supports around you, the more confident you will be. We also offer formal regular clinical supervision, graduate coaching by our Clinical and Discipline Leads, and a range of opportunities to attend both internal and external professional development.
The 12 week graduate program prepares you to build your caseload and deliver therapy interventions. Each new graduate therapist will have access to:
- 12-week New Graduate training program, covering multidisciplinary and discipline-specific topics
- Opportunities to shadow experienced therapists
- New Graduate peer meetings – connect with current and former new graduates
- Weekly clinical supervision
- Reduced billable hours as you build your caseload and develop your clinical skills
Manage your caseload to provide timely and evidence based intervention to people across the lifespan. From pre-schoolers, school-aged children, adolescents and young adults, to adults - where we have the capacity to support - with a range of conditions.
Provide intervention in a variety of locations; clinics, schools/preschools, in-home, group homes, via telehealth or at day programs. These may be delivered on an individual, group or consultative basis.
You will have opportunities to attend internal professional development and following probation have access to a generous external professional development budget relevant to your caseload and personal development goals so that you continue to expand your skills and learning. In addition to this you are given 10 days paid professional development per year.
You are allocated IT equipment such as an iPhone and laptop to help you work remotely. You have access to the use of a pool of company cars or you can utilise your own, with km reimbursements.
