Job Title:

Expert Cyber Security Consultant

As a seasoned cyber security professional, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the Security Operations Centre (SOC). Your primary focus will be on threat hunting, mentoring junior staff, and driving continuous improvement of SOC capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in a cyber security role, with leadership experience highly desirable. They should possess in-depth knowledge of threat hunting, digital forensics, and incident response tools, as well as expertise in digital forensics and analysis of electronic evidence.

  • Provide expert technical support to the SOC, focusing on threat hunting and continuous improvement
  • Mentor junior staff and share knowledge and experience
  • Drive proactive defense and analytics initiatives
  • Leverage digital forensics expertise to support incident response and investigations
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen overall security posture

Requirements:

  • 8+ years in a cyber security role
  • Leadership experience highly desirable but not necessary
  • In-depth experience in threat hunting, DFIR, and EDR tools
  • Cyber incident management experience
  • Relevant industry-recognised qualifications highly desirable
  • Expertise in digital forensics and analysis of electronic evidence
  • Proven ability to analyse cyber threat intelligence and translate insights into actionable outcomes
  • Exposure to IT security operations in a large or complex organisation
  • Highly developed leadership, written and verbal communication skills
