As a leader in winemaking operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of a new Australian wine brand. The role involves managing all aspects of winemaking, from site stewardship to operational management.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Oenology or related field
  • Minimum 10 years experience in winemaking operations
  • Strong technical knowledge of winemaking processes and techniques
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team

New Winery

The winery will feature state-of-the-art equipment, including epoxy flooring and stainless steel drains. The facility will have a capacity to process 30 tonnes of grapes, expandable to 50 tonnes.

The winery will be equipped with a range of advanced technologies, including a 40HL Bucher Origin Press and a Bucher Oscillys 50 destemmer and sorting table.

Vineyards

The brand will focus on premium Chardonnay from the Piccadilly Valley estate and Cabernet Sauvignon from Clarendon and Hickinbotham Vineyards in McLaren Vale.

Clarendon Vineyard Estate dates back to 1842 and is now owned by Toby & Emmanuelle Bekkers.

Hickinbotham vineyard was first planted in 1971 and is farmed using organic and biodynamic practices.
