About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in Ballarat. As a forward-thinking venue, we value tradition and innovation, offering a unique dining experience to locals and visitors alike.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure high standards of quality and presentation.
- Develop seasonal menus that showcase fresh, local ingredients and creativity in menu design.
- Oversee food preparation, stock management, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Train, mentor, and support junior chefs to enhance their skills and confidence.
**Requirements**
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a busy venue, with a strong understanding of food safety practices.
- Effective leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide the kitchen team.
- Creativity in menu design, presentation, and innovation in cooking techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain consistency, and adapt to changing circumstances.
