Associate Nurse Unit Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our team on the 6th Floor at our Fitzroy Campus. In this rewarding opportunity, you will provide direction, support and advice to nursing & support personnel on a shift-by-shift basis.

This is a part-time position covering a maternity leave from October 2025 to October 2026. You will work closely with the NUM to plan and implement nursing care to a high standard within an inclusive team focused on continuous improvement, teamwork and customer service.

The 6th floor is a 45 bed acute surgical ward specialising in Orthopaedic, Plastics, Vascular & Thoracic Surgery. You will have the opportunity to participate & actively support the achievement of the Unit and Organisational KPIs, Mission, Vision & Values.

About the Role
  • Provide direction, support and advice to nursing & support personnel on a shift-by-shift basis
  • Constructively supports the leadership of the NUM and assumes the responsibilities of the NUM in the absence of the NUM
  • Demonstrate ability and commitment to support organisational development as directed by the NUM

Requirements
  • Registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Completed, or working towards, Postgraduate qualifications in the relevant clinical specialty
  • National Criminal History Check
  • A valid Working with Children check
