This is an exciting opportunity to join the Graduate Diploma Mental Health Program.

The program offers structured professional development, expert mentorship, and the opportunity to work within a leading healthcare network.

As a Registered Nurse in this part-time contract position, you'll specialise in mental health nursing while making a real difference in patients' recovery journeys.

You'll be responsible for providing specialised mental health nursing care to patients while participating in a structured graduate diploma program that develops your clinical skills and expertise in contemporary mental health practices.

Your duties will include assessing individual patient needs, planning, implementing and coordinating appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options including other disciplines or agencies.

You'll also participate in quality improvement activities that contribute to patient safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities within the practice setting.

Besides, you'll provide direct person-centred nursing care and individual case management to patients on a shift-by-shift basis in a defined clinical area with increasing autonomy over time.

About You :

  • Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing / Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds a current practicing certificate.
  • Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course,
  • Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills,
  • Demonstrated competence in mental health nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards,
  • Qualifications relevant to speciality / clinical area
