Underground Mining Specialist

As a Underground Jumbo Operator, you will be part of a team that is responsible for safely and efficiently conducting underground mining operations. The role involves precision, safety, and teamwork in an underground environment.
">Key Responsibilities:">- Installing ground support as per the Ground Control Management Plan to ensure mine stability and safety.
- Boring development excavation profiles to specification, meeting quality and productivity targets.
- Installing and maintaining underground services, including electrical and water systems.
- Supporting charge-up and other development tasks, collaborating with colleagues to achieve project objectives.
- Communicating effectively across shifts, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to safety protocols.
- Leading by example in safety and environmental awareness, promoting a culture of excellence within the team.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
">- A valid manual driver's license, enabling you to transport personnel and equipment safely.
- At least 7 years of experience in underground mining, providing a strong foundation in mine services and safe work procedures.
- Strong knowledge of mine services, including electrical and mechanical systems, and a solid understanding of safe work practices.
- Excellent communication and observation skills, allowing you to work effectively with colleagues and communicate critical information.
- Familiarity with Joint Safety Assessment (JSA) systems, supporting a culture of proactive risk management.
- Mechanical aptitude, enabling you to troubleshoot and maintain equipment efficiently.
- Supervisory experience is desirable, but not essential, as we provide comprehensive training and development opportunities.
