Turnaround Project Lead

We are seeking an experienced Turnaround Project Lead to join our team in Perth. The successful candidate will lead and support the resources contracts team with all aspects of upcoming Turnarounds and future scopes of work.

Job Description:

The Turnaround Project Lead will be responsible for maintaining a strong relationship with stakeholders and internal/external staff, adhering to contract requirements particularly in planning and preparation phases. They will develop and manage processes, including systems for managing late and emergent work, and manage the Turnaround at all stages in accordance with the Ventia 7-Phase Turnaround Process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining relationships with stakeholders and internal/external staff
  • Developing and managing processes for managing late and emergent work
  • Managing the Turnaround process

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and extensive experience in Turnaround/Shut-down/project management within similar industries or suitable trade qualifications with at least 10-15 years' experience in PMC/EPC management leadership roles.

Key Requirements:

  • Engineering degree qualification
  • Experience in managing large complex Turnarounds within Oil & Gas industries
  • Excellent health, safety and environment attitude
  • Ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and achieve performance targets
  • Knowledge of the Turnaround IMPACT process
  • Familiarity with key planning software such as Primavera P6
  • Ability to understand and critique complex Execution schedules
