Mercedes-Benz Brisbane is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fitter / Mechanic Technician to join our team. This role involves both disassembly and assembly of mechanical components as well as vehicle dismantling and assembling in preparation of panel repairs, including the installation, alignment, and adjustment of panels and accessories. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out thorough mechanical diagnosis, servicing, and repairs on a range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles (passenger and light commercial).
- Perform autobody fitting and component replacement including doors, panels, bumpers, trims, and accessories.
- Remove and install mechanical and body components as required for repairs or upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines, repair methods, and safety standards at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- A Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in autobody fitting or vehicle assembly is preferred but not necessary.
- Experience with European or prestige vehicles (Mercedes-Benz experience highly regarded) is beneficial.
- A valid driver's license is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship are crucial.
