Role OverviewThis is an exciting career transition for medical professionals to move from a clinical environment to a corporate setting. The role offers a great work-life balance with a Monday-to-Friday schedule and two days of remote work per week.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical expertise and guidance to the claims team to support their decision-making processes.
- Utilize medical evidence and knowledge to train and develop claims teams, enhancing their medical understanding.
- Explain complex medical information to non-medical teams in an easily understandable format.
- Evaluate claimants' GP reports to recommend potential support for claimants.
- Contribute to project work, reviewing and developing medical guidelines for claims management.
- A medical degree and current registration with relevant authorities.
- In-depth knowledge of medical conditions affecting a claimant's ability to work and treatment options.
- Exceptional communication skills to simplify complex medical information.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written communication skills to create and review guidelines.
- Possess a passion for developing others and coaching/training non-medical teams.
