Trades Assistant Role Overview
This role involves working on-site at FIFO locations throughout Western Australia. You'll be responsible for assisting tradespeople and performing tasks as directed. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in trade assistant roles or similar laboring positions in mining, construction, or related industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist tradespeople with daily tasks and projects
- Perform manual labor duties as required
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company policies and procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need the following qualifications and skills:
- Confined Space RIIOSH202 or RIIWHS202 certification
- Working at Heights RIIOSH204 or RIIWHS204 certification
- Construction White Card
- Valid Australian Driver Licence – MR class
- WorkSafe, High-Risk Work Licence – with EWP and/or Forklift (RB or SB are also highly regarded)
- Telehandler Ticket
- Minimum of 1 year trade assistant experience in mining, construction, or a similar laboring position
- Be a Perth-based resident and hold unlimited Australian working rights for at least six months with the ability to extend this further
Salary Estimate
The estimated salary range for this role is between $65,000 and $85,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
