Job Summary

RSM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our CFO Advisory practice. As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering technical accounting solutions to clients across IFRS and other accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards;
  • Project manage the timing of when financial statements need to be completed, ensuring the flow of information meets deadlines;
  • Identify and address technical accounting and financial reporting issues;
  • Ensure completion of each assignment to a high-quality standard, within budget and on or before deadlines;
  • Work with the audit team, if RSM is the auditor for the client;
  • Collaborate with the manager on timelines for each engagement and communicate effectively with clients and/or the audit team;
  • Prepare technical position papers;
  • Assist clients in ensuring audit readiness.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Commerce with an Accounting major;
  • Completed CA or equivalent;
  • 3-4 years' experience in financial statement preparation or external audit;
  • Detailed working knowledge and application of IFRS/Australian Accounting Standards;
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
