We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead our mining processing infrastructure project at an overseas mine site.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Tailings Manager, overseeing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, risk management, site mobilization, and construction management.

This is a hybrid work arrangement: 2 weeks in the Brisbane office and FIFO 10/4 to the overseas mine site until project completion.

Only Brisbane-based candidates are eligible for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed construction schedules using MS Project and/or Deswik, ensuring alignment with embankment raise milestones.
  • Manage budgets, track expenditures, and analyze cost variances, with experience in forecasting and implementing corrective actions.
  • Supervise embankment construction activities, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, dashboards, and risk assessments to stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate contractors and suppliers, and foster collaboration between site operations and technical teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Significant experience in mining-related construction, managing tailings, water dams, or bulk earthworks projects.
  • Overseas project experience is highly regarded.
