About the Role

We are seeking an experienced school leader to join our team at Bardia Public School, a unique K-6 institution situated in South West Sydney. Our school is committed to providing a positive and welcoming culture underpinned by three core values: achievement, belonging, and care.

Our School Community

Bardia Public School has a diverse student body with approximately 1000 students from various language backgrounds. We have a strong focus on engagement through high-quality teaching and learning programs, catering to individual needs, and a supportive community. Our Support Unit caters to students with additional needs, and we have Autism and Autism IO classes available.

Role Responsibilities
  1. To lead and manage the school's educational program, ensuring alignment with departmental policies and procedures.
  2. To foster a culture of collaboration, data-informed practices, and differentiated learning among staff members.
  3. To develop and implement effective strategies for improving student outcomes and promoting academic excellence.

  • High-level instructional leadership to drive strategic planning and evaluation.
  • Proven ability to harness and foster leadership capacity, building effective teams and enriching the school's high expectations culture.
  • Capacity to manage complex priorities while nurturing a culture of achievement, belonging, and care for continuous improvement.
Additional Requirements
  • Successful teaching experience with the ability to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice.
  • Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching programs.
  • Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents.

The successful applicant will be required to hold an unconditional full approval to teach. If you do not hold this approval, you are required to commence the process at the same time as applying for this role. Estimated salary for this position is $151,893.00 plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation, totaling $169,880.00.
