This is a full-time contracted role in a dynamic regional healthcare team. The successful candidate will support vital diagnostic services across South Australia.
The position offers extensive training across all laboratory disciplines, with prior experience valued but not required. Relocation assistance may be available and there are opportunities for professional development including travel within and outside the state.
The role is based in Berri, along the Murray River in the heart of the Riverland. This region is known for its picturesque landscapes, vineyards, citrus orchards, and fresh local produce. The area also boasts national parks and river activities such as fishing, camping, hiking, and water sports.
The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge and skills in areas like Microbiology, Haematology, Clinical Chemistry, and Transfusion Medicine. They will collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety while participating in quality improvement and professional development activities.
About You
- You should be a technically capable and motivated individual with a passion for laboratory science and a strong commitment to accuracy and patient care.
- A recognised laboratory qualification such as a Diploma or Advanced Diploma is essential.
- General lab experience with skills in sample collection, data entry, and diagnostic testing is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
- A Working With Children Check (WWCC), National Police Clearance (NPC), and immunisation requirements apply.
