Senior Risk Governance Specialist

As a Senior Risk Governance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization maintains a high level of operational resilience.

Your leadership will focus on building a resilient and risk-aware culture. You will lead the improvement and design of controls to meet the requirements of APRA Prudential Standard CPS 230 Operational Risk Management, aligning with our risk appetite.

This is a permanent role based in Sydney or Melbourne. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Extensive financial services experience with significant risk management experience at a senior level
  • Strong understanding of how to implement and embed operational risk management policies and controls
  • Working knowledge of Third Party Risk/Service Provider Management software platforms
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to effectively engage and influence across all levels of management
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to reach a common approach and desired outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to actively keep abreast of changes in external environments and translate into internal environment

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Insurance, Banking or Government industry.
