Job Title: Metal Fabricator

This role is responsible for creating a wide range of metal products and components, working on site at our factory or from clients' premises. The successful candidate will have proven fabricating skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret drawings.

  • A trade certificate III in metal fabrication;">
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar role and industry;">
  • Appropriate trade or industry certification;">
  • Mechanical skills and physical stamina;">
  • Good dexterity and mathematical skills;">
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet commitments, with motivation, maturity, autonomy, and teamwork skills.">

Responsibilities Include:

  1. ">
  2. Reading product schematics and ensuring all parts are available;">
  3. Confirming that all products are produced within the required timeline;">
  4. Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines;">
  5. Selecting types of sheet metal according to building or design plans;">
  6. Measuring and marking dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets;">
  7. Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering;">
  8. Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments;">
  9. Drilling holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets;">
  10. Joining metal sections;">
  11. Installing metal sheets with supportive frameworks;">
  12. Fabricating or altering parts;">
  13. Evaluating finished products and performing quality checks;">
  14. Maintaining machinery and equipment;">
  15. Monitoring stocks and requesting purchase of items required;">
  16. Performing inspection and functional tests and recording results;">
  17. Cleaning up and disposing of waste in accordance with company procedures;">
  18. Maintaining general tidiness in the work area;">
  19. Initiating action to prevent occurrence of deficiencies in work performed in the factory;">
  20. Identifying and recording deficiencies occurring in the factory;">
  21. Initiating or recommending solutions to deficiencies through authorized methods;">
  22. Complying with all company policies and procedures.">
