Job Summary:

Weir is seeking an experienced Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Artarmon. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of warehouse functions with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and urgency to support department objectives and fulfill customer service requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Picking product by hand, utilizing Material Handling Equipment or mechanical aids
  • Packaging or repackaging of outbound consignments, including labeling and packing to customer-specific packaging requirements
  • Utilization of hand tools, including but not limited to; nail guns, hammers, strappers, crow bars, staple guns, and labelers
  • Utilizing WMA's systems to control stock movement, including receipt, put-away, picking, and dispatch
  • Liaising with other departments, service providers, and internal stakeholders, relative to stock movement, transport, or warehousing, when required
  • Operation of Material Handling Equipment, inclusive of on-pavement forklifts and high-reach trucks
  • Loading and unloading of various truck types

Requirements:

  • Previous working experience in a warehouse or logistics role
  • Exposure to RF scanning
  • Forklift license (Essential)
  • Good physical fitness, capable of lifting and moving heavy items
