**Job Role:** Healthcare Medication Specialist

**About the Position:

Mater Health Services is seeking a professional to join our Hospital Pharmacy team in a permanent full-time role.

The successful candidate will work closely with pharmacists to deliver safe, effective and high-quality pharmacy services to optimise outcomes for all patients and customers.

This position offers the opportunity to work in various areas including central dispensary, clinical support and inventory management, supporting pharmacists in the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assembling and delivering dispensed medications
  • Monitoring and maintaining appropriate stock levels in the pharmacy and clinical area imprest sites across the Mater campus
  • Cold chain management of refrigerated and frozen medications
  • Answering phone calls from internal and external customers and patients
  • Providing responsive customer-focused service

Other rotational roles may include PBS claim preparation, cancer services clinical support, outpatient services clinical support, and inventory management.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum Certificate II or III in Hospital/Community Pharmacy (or equivalent) and possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a passion for customer service.

Additional desirable qualities include previous relevant work experience, flexibility to work additional shifts and ability to work at multiple locations.
