The job involves laying ceramic, clay, slate, glass, travertine, and other types of tiles on external and internal walls and floors.

Your tasks will include:

  • Using wall and floor tiling tools and equipment
  • Preparing wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, cement, and adhesive
  • Attaching tiles to surfaces, using appropriate adhesive, and ensuring patterned tiles match
  • Using tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges, corners, or around obstacles such as fittings and pipes
  • Correctly spacing tiles by using tools such as spirit levels, squares, and plumb lines
  • Preparing and applying grout, removing excess grout, cleaning, and polishing tiles
  • Laying floors of cement, granolithic, terrazzo or similar composition
