About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Diverse Learning Teacher to join our team at St Michael's Catholic Primary School Lane Cove. As a Diverse Learning Teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative, and engaging pedagogy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to differentiate instruction and support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with the Diverse Learning team to design, implement, and monitor adjustments for students, as documented in the Personalised Plan (PP) Tool.
  • Work alongside Learning Support Officers to create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in consultation with parents, teachers, external professionals, and the School Counsellor.
  • Employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback.
  • Support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being.

Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification in Education.
  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
  • Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
