Job Description

Position Information

The NSW Teaching Service is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teacher of Human Society and Environment to join our team at the NBSC Freshwater Senior Campus. This comprehensive secondary school is located in the Northern Beaches of Sydney and serves a student population of 650. Our school community is diverse, with students drawn from a variety of Government and non-Government schools across the Northern Beaches.

As a Teacher of Human Society and Environment, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, fostering a love of learning and promoting academic excellence. You will work collaboratively with our faculty and wellbeing team to support student welfare and learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Legal Studies, Business Studies, and Economics to students in Years 11 and 12.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and promote critical thinking and research skills.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to improve student learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to faculty and whole school programs, including curriculum development and professional learning.

Requirements

  • Approval to teach Legal Studies, Business Studies, and Economics.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to contribute to the growth and development of our school community.
