Support Needs Assistant - Experienced working with kids with Autism.

 

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced support professional to assist our client with disability who is 10 years old. The client's family requires a staff member who has previous experience working with kids having Autism and behaviours including aggression.

The support will be after school hours and for providing community access and daily living support, including self-care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing physical support to enable the client to participate in activities.
  • Assisting with personal care and daily living tasks.
  • Supporting the client to engage in leisure activities and maintain social connections.
  • Reporting any changes or concerns regarding the client's needs or behaviour to relevant parties.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experienced support worker with a strong understanding of Autism and its effects on individuals.

Familiarity with NDIS policies and procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.
