Leading Curriculum Development

Job Description:

This position is for a dedicated and collaborative leader to oversee the development of our school's curriculum.

The successful candidate will work closely with our leadership team, teaching staff, and support personnel to drive the transition to the Australian Curriculum Version 9 (AC v9).

Key responsibilities include driving the curriculum focus in alignment with school and departmental initiatives, supporting the delivery and implementation of AC v9, enhancing the quality of teaching and learning through collaborative practices, and fostering positive relationships among students, staff, and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Understanding of working in low socio-economic primary schools, with a strong determination to work with community to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Background in engaging with Reading through the Australian Curriculum resources and modules.
  • Knowledge of using Equity and Excellence priorities to positively impact teaching and learning.
  • Focus on systematic synthetic phonics, particularly in early years of schooling.
  • Ability to lead the curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives.
  • Participation in delivering the transition to AC v9.
  • Collaborative approach to developing the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers, and stakeholders.
