Job Description

As a Turf Maintenance Specialist, you will play a key part in maintaining and enhancing turf areas ensuring they remain lush, healthy, and resilient. Reporting to the Site Manager, this hands-on role involves maintaining and enhancing turf areas, implementing sustainable practices, and delivering exceptional results.

Key responsibilities include monitoring turf health and proactively addressing issues like pests, diseases, and compaction through appropriate cultural and chemical practices. You will also implement sustainable turf management practices including water conservation strategies and pest management techniques.

Additionally, you will operate and maintain specialized turf equipment and machinery for optimal performance and safety. Collaboration with the landscaping team is essential to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritize tasks, and deliver exceptional results.

Effective communication with clients is crucial to understand their expectations, address concerns, and provide turf care recommendations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Sports Turf Management
  • Cricket Wicket experience is desirable
  • Previous experience in turf management, greenkeeping, or a related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of turfgrass species, growth habits, and maintenance requirements
  • Familiarity with turf care equipment and machinery, including mowers, aerators, and sprayers
