Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Trainer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in implementing the strategic OSH training plan, programs, and material to continually improve safe work practices and ensure legislative compliance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Delivery and assessment of training programs and competencies for manual tasks, patient handling, and Aggression Prevention Intervention (API2)
- Assist in risk minimization strategies related to manual handling tasks
- Complete safety observation assessments and competencies
- Assist in maintaining training statistics
- Ensure service delivery meets quality standards and is consistent with both W.A. Health/Serco standards
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge in the delivery and assessment of manual handling and aggression prevention or related training
- Knowledge and expertise in WHS and ergonomics principles
- Relevant experience in a health context environment
- Ability to present and facilitate sessions
- Ability to build relationships, develop personal credibility, and demonstrate training expertise to consistently deliver high-quality and efficient customer service
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Bachelor's degree or qualifications in Human Movement, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Physiology, Paramedics, or other relevant areas of study
