The Role: Contract Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our commercial team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing project-based contract administration, downstream tendering and procurement, and commercial delivery of key projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of contract administration, including tendering, negotiation, and claim resolution;
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure commercial objectives are met;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies;
  • Provide expertise on commercial matters, including contract review, interpretation, and advice;
  • Manage and resolve claims, disputes, and variations;
  • Monitor and report on commercial performance, including KPIs and financial metrics;

Requirements:

  • Minimum qualifications in contracts or business law, with project management or quantity surveying qualifications viewed favorably;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a contract or commercial management role, preferably in the energy sector;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety and commercial negotiation;
  • Exceptional stakeholder relationship management and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience in managing teams and achieving commercial outcomes;
  • Demonstrated understanding of legislation pertaining to quality management, occupational safety, construction, and security of payment;

Essential Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the AS4000 suite of contracts and commercial negotiation;
  • Strong business acumen, including professional writing and claims assessment skills;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain high accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize, schedule, and plan;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team environment;
  • Demonstrated analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills;
