Job SummaryWe are currently seeking an experienced Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse to join our team at the Dandenong Hospital Youth Mental Health unit. The successful candidate will work with youth inpatient consumers with varying degrees of acute psychiatric or mental illness and/or drug and alcohol dependency problems.
About the RoleThis full-time or part-time permanent position offers a rewarding career opportunity for an innovative thinker who is passionate about providing recovery-focused care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centred care, while also supporting other members of the nursing team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide primary nursing care to patients with acute psychiatric or mental illness and/or drug and alcohol dependency problems.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Contribute to the development of the Unit's policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A postgraduate qualification in mental health.
- Demonstrated experience working in an inpatient unit or similar setting.
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Relevant working rights/visa.
