We're seeking an accomplished professional to spearhead our control assurance initiatives, driving excellence in risk management and compliance.

About the Role

This key position will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust control assurance framework, aligning it with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will work closely with the Head of Enterprise Risk and Assurance, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and effective outcomes.

Your leadership will focus on building a high-performing control assurance team, capable of delivering timely and accurate results, while promoting open communication and cooperation throughout the organization.

In this critical role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive control assurance framework, incorporating relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead control assurance activities, including regular reviews, assessments, and remediation efforts.
  • Provide expert guidance to senior leaders, identifying areas for improvement and recommending strategies for enhancement.
  • Ensure the quality, delivery, and embedding of our Controls Assurance Program, integrating it seamlessly into our operational framework.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, developing the skills and knowledge of the control assurance team to drive organizational success.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 8 years of experience in risk and compliance, preferably within the financial services sector, with a focus on control assurance.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and meet competing priorities.
