Job Overview

The Bakery Manager role is responsible for the day-to-day running of the bakery department, contributing to a store that is exceptionally presented and welcoming for customers, team members and the local community.

About The Role

This position reports directly to the Store Manager and requires full accountability for managing the bakery department. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a fast-paced environment and direct/indirect leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain excellent department standards, including stock monitoring, rotation routines, waste control and quality assurance.
  • Lead, coach and develop the team to meet sales targets, cost control and rostering requirements.
  • Drive a one-team culture that celebrates success and prioritizes the health, safety and wellbeing of team members.
  • Deliver an outstanding shopping experience for customers.
