Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and experiments on patient samples, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids.
- Conduct tests and experiments in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
- Collect and process samples, ensuring proper labeling and identification.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Analyze test results, interpret data, and prepare reports for physician review.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely patient care.
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
- Proven experience working as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and equipment.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining laboratory instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory safety protocols.
