Job Description

Seeking a seasoned registered nurse to fill this permanent full-time opportunity in the Correctional Centre.

  • Expert clinical knowledge and skills are required to guide clinical practice across prison health centres for patient-centred triage and pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Nurse Unit Manager to meet strategic objectives of patient-centred care within a Correctional Centre framework.
  • Develop and implement various health support information programs for staff involved in patient care.
Requirements:
  • Proven expert level of knowledge, clinical nursing skills and experience in primary health care and correctional health clinical practice related to assessment, treatment and care.
  • Leadership skills including programme development and evaluation.

Mandatory requirements include vaccination against certain diseases and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
