About the RoleWe are looking for a Department Head to oversee the MSW(Q) program, accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). The program launched in September 2024 and is delivered across Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth.
The successful candidate will provide academic leadership, drive curriculum enhancement, and ensure compliance with AASW and TEQSA accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic guidance on program development and implementation
- Oversee curriculum design and enhancement to meet industry standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
- Lead and manage academic staff across multiple campuses
- Engage with stakeholders to support program growth and quality
- Monitor student outcomes and implement continuous improvement strategies
- PhD in Social Work or related field, eligible for AASW membership
- Proven leadership experience in social work or related academic programs
- Strong knowledge of AASW standards and ASWEAS, with experience in managing and developing accredited programs
- Experience in multi-campus program delivery, preferably in social work or related fields
- Commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and social justice

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
