Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Legal Practitioner to join our team in Brisbane. As a Junior Legal Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced legal practitioners, providing assistance to clients and contributing to the delivery of high-quality legal services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide confidential legal and administrative support to legal practitioners in Family Law proceedings;
- Liaise with the legal services network in attending minor matters at Court/Tribunal after training;
- Contribute to the preparation of casework and provide assistance directly to clients under the direction and guidance of an experienced practitioner;
- Develop culturally competent legal services through on-the-job training;
- Admission as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland (or within 12 months of being admitted) with a Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent);
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to empathetically and efficiently convey precise information to team members and clients;
- Proven capacity to provide highly confidential legal and administrative support to legal practitioners in Family Law proceedings;
- Basic knowledge of key legislation, practices, and procedures across a range of legislation such as the Family Law Act, Domestic and Family Violence Act, Child Protection Act, and various Anti-discrimination Laws;
This role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Queensland Driver Licence and be willing to undergo a Criminal Record Check to achieve a National Police Certificate.
Estimated SalaryAU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
