Portfolio Development Lead

The role of Portfolio Development Lead is a critical one in driving the success of our Everyday Banking portfolio.

You will be responsible for planning and managing activities within the portfolio, including managing the mix and priority of key initiatives such as cost reduction, product development, and innovation projects.

A key aspect of this role will be to ensure that the portfolio's mix of products and services meets evolving customer needs and is aligned with the broader Suncorp strategy.

This includes leading new product innovation and development in the portfolio, working closely with senior leaders.

Additionally, you will manage operational risk and compliance, ensuring that the portfolio operates within defined tolerances of the Bank's Risk Appetite Statement.

You will also be responsible for implementing sound Risk Management principles and systems, including proactively identifying risks, implementing actions, and monitoring remedial outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business, finance, or a related discipline, with experience in a leadership role, including developing high-performing teams and individual team members.

Diversified experience in banking is mandatory, with payments industry experience desired. Comprehensive understanding of the business, market, and external environment is necessary.

The successful candidate will be able to adapt to a dynamic external environment, possessing developed financial analysis and forecasting skills, knowledge of financial principles, and excellent people leadership and development skills.
