Role Overview
ALS is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sample Receipt Officer. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt and processing of incoming goods to support the success and efficiency of our commercial laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming sample deliveries, including sorting and labelling of samples.
- Log samples in the LIMS system with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Liaise with clients regarding sample submissions and freight pick-ups.
- Maintain filing systems and documentation, and perform general housekeeping duties.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and chemical hazards protocols.
Requirements
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to process multiple concurrent requests efficiently and accurately.
- Superior attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Experience with a LIMS system and MS Office suite.
- Understanding of laboratory safety and chemical hazards.
