Job Description

As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a key role in driving environmental excellence across our operations.

This exciting opportunity allows you to combine your passion for the environment with your technical expertise to drive sustainability initiatives and promote environmental awareness.

Working closely with operational teams, you will provide specialist environmental guidance, lead improvement projects, and contribute to incident investigations and community consultations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical environmental advice to site managers
  • Leading and supporting compliance obligations, improvement initiatives, and critical risk controls
  • Maintaining and improving environmental data systems, EMS audits, and regulatory reporting
  • Contributing to incident investigations, complaints handling, and community consultation
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in environmental management in regulatory, heavy industry, waste, or quarry sectors
  • Experience with regulatory and community stakeholders and ISO 14001 systems
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, preferably across multiple states
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
