About the Role

Baptcare is a purpose-driven organization that provides residential and community care for older people and support to children, families, and individuals with disabilities. We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Karingal Community, a Baptcare Residential Aged Care facility in Devonport, Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities
  • Listen to consumers and understand their needs and goals, providing support to achieve them.
  • Follow care plans and work under the direction of a registered nurse to provide high-quality care.
  • Record consumer outcomes and participate in the continuous improvement cycle at the home.
  • Build relationships with families and other stakeholders to improve life for consumers in care.
  • Report workplace and consumer risks to management.
  • Attend regular training to maintain skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate III in Aged Care
  • Minimum 12 months of experience in an Aged Care facility
  • Customer-focused with a passion for working in Aged Care
  • Excellent attention to detail, honesty, reliability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a team
