Job Opportunity: Geology Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Geology Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic organization that values safety, teamwork, and innovation.

In this role, you will assist in the collection and processing of geological samples, ensuring timely and accurate data for analysis by geologists. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • ">
  • Meter marking, photographing, cutting, and sample collection of diamond core in a timely manner and in line with core processing priorities.">
  • Ensuring appropriate QAQC samples are included in all submissions.">
  • Completing sample submissions in a timely manner with no errors.">
  • Transporting samples to the offsite laboratory (if necessary).">
  • Storing and accurately cataloging diamond core in the core farm, thoroughly following procedure.">
  • Assisting in maintaining pulp and core library catalogs across the site.">

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • ">
  • A current 'C' Class Western Australian Driver's Licence.">
  • Current approved and recognized forklift ticket (preferred).">
  • Computer literacy with the ability to use Microsoft Office products.">
  • Excellent numeracy skills.">
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.">
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to plan daily activities, and meet deadlines.">
  • Desirable: St John's Senior First Aid Certificate and mechanical knowledge and skills.">
