About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Communication Specialist to join our team. This is a key role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answering incoming and outgoing calls with a polite, clear, and calm manner.
  • Contacting staff and emergency groups for code calls, such as cardiac arrest and trauma groups.
  • Performing routine clerical duties as required by the manager.
  • Operating hospital switchboard; and DECT and/or smart phone systems.
Requirements
  1. Prior experience in operating contemporary switchboards and high-volume call environments.
  2. Demonstrated experience in responding to customer inquiries and determining the appropriate response in complex situations.
  3. Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  4. Ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations.
  5. Flexible to work rotating shifts, including early/late shifts and weekend work.
