About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Fitter to join our team at Cappro Pacific. As a key member of our mechanical team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and repair to our clients' heavy equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles, excavators, dozers, graders, rollers, and associated mobile plant.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, including electrical, hydraulic, engine, transmission, and final-drive systems.
  • Work on-site and in our workshop, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and operators to understand equipment performance and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with our team to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction and quality workmanship.
Requirements
  • Trade qualification in diesel or plant mechanics or fitting.
  • Experience working with diesel-powered equipment, vehicles, or machinery.
  • Driver's license and HR license (highly regarded).
  • Mechanical aptitude and a desire to continue learning and developing skills.
  • Excellent work ethic, communication skills, and attitude towards work.
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a small team.
  • Reliability and good timekeeping.
