About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Azure Cloud Architect to work for one of our international consultancy clients based in Melbourne or Canberra. This is an exciting opportunity to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud architectures that support business operations and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Design and Deploy Cloud Architectures: Design, deploy, and manage highly available and secure cloud architectures on the Azure platform.
  • Administer Azure Services: Administer Azure Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) services, including App Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure SQL.
  • Implement Security Best Practices: Implement Azure security best practices, such as access controls, encryption, and Azure Policy.
  • Optimize Azure Resources: Optimize Azure resources to maintain cost efficiency while ensuring seamless performance.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
  • Manage Infrastructure Deployments: Manage infrastructure deployments through source control and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and reliable updates.
  • Administer VMware Cloud Foundation Environments: Administer and support VMware Cloud Foundation environments, including managing virtual machines and storage.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot, resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, and ensure system stability.
  • Create and Manage User Accounts: Create and manage user accounts, implementing appropriate access controls and security measures.
  • Optimize Linux Systems: Optimize Linux systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) for performance and security, including kernel parameter tuning and resource management.
  • Respond to Incidents and Service Requests: Respond promptly to incidents and service requests, providing timely resolutions or escalating issues to senior resources.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and system configurations in ticketing systems.
  • Analyze System Performance: Use monitoring tools to track and analyze system performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Automate Routine Tasks: Develop scripts (Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless service delivery, knowledge sharing, and service improvements. ">
